'''My Story'''

My story starts in the summer of 2000. It was my senior year in high school. My parents decided to buy me a new car as a graduation gift. I went to the Mitsubishi dealership and saw a brand new red 1999 3000GT VR4... I was in love.... but it was $44000 and way out of their price range. I decided I didn't want the Eclipse because everyone had one.... I ended up getting a Monte Carlo SS instead. About five years later, my craving for 3000GTs hit me again, the owner of a dealership in town was selling his 1995 VR4 Spyder with 29000 miles on it. I traded in the Monte Carlo for the Spyder and loved it... for a few months... then I ran into a financial bind and had to dump the Spyder. Come present day June 2008. Married, kid, job, regular family car Impala. I find a red 1999 3000GT VR4 for sale on ebay. After the blessing from the wife, I bid on it but didn't meet their reserve price. Two days prior to the auction ending they lowered the reserve price to $14900. I jumped on the opportunity and the VR4 was mine.  I have since enjoyed meeting other 3si members in Alaska community and we finally got our own chapter forum last summer which has helped us with three successful gatherings.  My only future plans for my baby are to return her to 100% stock.  Planning on picking up some stock 18" chromies somewhere down the line here soon.
